Maybe the ''istan'' bit at the end of each countries names, led to confusion! lol ;)

I like reading peoples' travel accounts. It's always good as an aside from a 'text book'.

Hunny you are commenting on a post about Pakistan,not afghanistan.These are two different countries.Afghanistan has seen turbulance since the soviet invasion,but Pakistan is ok.
If you have an opinnion just by looking at the news reports from CNN and BBC,you will see the world burning,apart from europe and North America.
That is not the case,there are peaceful places on the planet earth.

so what about the war on terror then. the british and the americans are in afghanistan at the moment to "liberate" the people. it's a war of some kind as people are being killed

The last war that Pakistan fought was 1n 1971.After that there have been no wars.
